Sheriff Kent Harris was appointed as a member of the Tennessee Sheriff Association Legislative Committee by President of the Sheriff’s Association Mike Wilson of Weakley County.

The Legislative Committee works with Tammy Haun who is in a Legislative Consultant of the Association.

Today Sheriff Kent Harris announced that he launched a new Web site for his campaign for re-election in May of 2010. The new Web site is located at http://www.kentharrisforsheriff.com.

In addition to the new Web site the sheriff has also started a page on Twitter and Facebook. Links to both can be found on the homepage.

“This is just another way that I’m going to be there for the people of Unicoi County,” Harris said. “Now people will have another way to contact me 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

Unicoi County Sheriff Kent Harris has announced that he is a candidate for his third term as sheriff and has appointed Robie Sullins as his campaign manager/treasurer.

Sullins has been a part-time employee of Unicoi County 911 and will be graduting from the University of Tennessee with a degree in political science. He has applied for law school. Sullins served as Harris’ treasurer in the 2006 election.
