I am committed to:

  1. •Fighting illegal drugs – More than 80 percent of all crimes are drug related. I will continue to work with all agencies as a team player from start to finish to rid our county of illegal drugs.

  2. •Solving break-ins – Investigators will continue to be on call 24 hours a day. Our investigators have more than 75 years of combined experience and are trained in all techniques (fingerprints, DNA, evidence, interview, etc.). Thieves are charged and prosecuted.

  3. •Children – We have a dedicated and trained child abuse/neglect advocate. The protection of our children is a must.

  4. •Safe Schools – We have three trained and nationally certified D.A.R.E. Officers working in our schools.

  5. •Crime Prevention – We have established seven Neighborhood Watch groups and obtained a Federal grant to develop a community police program by working together with the community to make our county a safe place to live and work.

  6. •Budget – As your sheriff I have been personally accountable to you, the taxpayer. I will continue to see that your tax dollars are spent wisely.

  7. •Created two substations in Unicoi County – one in the town of Unicoi and the other in Earnestville.
